About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Woofers Dog Grooming as a Dog Groomer. The available position is casual but can become permanent part-time or full-time for the right person. Choose your hours from 1-5 days a week with guaranteed work throughout the entire year even during winter!

You will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our canine clients in our West Hobart salon. This is a hands-on role where you will work directly with our furry customers to ensure they leave looking and feeling their best.

What you'll be doing

Trimming and styling using clippers/blades and scissors to create cute teddy bear doggy haircuts (minimum requirement)

Trimming and styling dog fur according to breed standards/(not essential)

Brushing, bathing and drying dogs

Providing nail trims and ear cleaning

Interacting with clients to understand their grooming needs and preferences

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

Adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Dog Groomer essential

Strong knowledge of dog breeds and grooming techniques

Ability to work with various dog breeds

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with both people and animals

A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A genuine love for animals and commitment to their wellbeing
