We are an established ophthalmology practice in Macquarie St, Sydney and are seeking an onsite full-time medical receptionist to join our supportive and friendly team. We are committed to the excellence of patient care and value work-life balance.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Provide professional patient service

Manage phone and email enquiries seamlessly

Opening and closing the practice

Manage and monitor appointments for patients

Ensure smooth daily running of appointments

Handling and resolving patient queries

Invoicing and receipting

Ordering supplies

Liaising with referrers and third parties

Banking and account reconciliation

Manage patient expectations

Provide support and leadership to other medical receptionists within the team.

About you:

At least 2 years’ experience in medical reception

Passionate about patient care

Possess strategic and analytical skills

Innovative mind with strong work ethics

Interest in healthcare management and leadership

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills

A level of maturity to deal with complex patient needs

Time management skills with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multitask and work efficiently

Enjoy working autonomously and within a team

Have a proactive attitude and contribute positively to the team

Punctual, reliable and flexible with a can-do attitude

Proficiency with electronic medical records

Salary is commensurate with experience. Hours range from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays.
