As the successful Senior Manager, Engagement and Marketing, you will lead a capable team to deliver a range of engagement and marketing activities. You will have excellent leadership skills and work with the VTAC executive to find innovative solutions. You will be able to exercise initiative and judgement to determine and prioritise activity across the team to meet deadlines.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading the Engagement and Marketing team, the Senior Manager, Engagement and Marketing plays a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and communication of a range of engagement and marketing programs designed to provide future applicants, and their supporters and influencers, with a better understanding of VTAC services. The role is critical in providing future applicants and those around them with a clear understanding of how to apply for tertiary courses and positioning the trusted VTAC brand across a range of stakeholders.
The Senior Manager conceptualises, strategises, develops and manages VTAC delivery of training and information sessions and marketing activities. This position coordinates activity across the Engagement and Marketing team to lead the delivery of high-quality engagement and marketing in support of VTAC’s strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:
Leading and managing the marketing and engagement team to deliver a range of initiatives
Acting as a key liaison and subject matter expert on VTAC products and services
Implementing annual marketing and social media campaigns
Delivering an annual engagement programme with both online and in-person events
Preparing and presenting training materials and programs to diverse audiences
Producing VTAC’s Annual Report, Prospectus, and Participation Kit
Undertaking research, analyzing results, and recommending improvements
Monitoring budgets and managing expenditure
Providing mechanisms for stakeholder feedback and maintaining key programs and databases
Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including secondary schools and careers practitioners
Advising the VTAC Leadership Team on marketing, training, and content publishing
Contributing to continuous improvement in practices, protocols, and customer service excellence
Leading customer journey development and campaign execution using CRM platforms
Maintaining operational excellence and aligning with VTAC's risk management framework
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in engagement, communications, marketing, or student recruitment. You thrive in a collaborative environment, with the ability to lead a team and work effectively as part of a senior leadership group.
You will have qualifications and experience in Arts, Communications, Media, Marketing, or related fields, meaning that you can think and write strategically.
Extensive experience and management expertise in student recruitment, communications, engagement, marketing, or related fields.
High-level presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder relationship management skills.
Proven experience leading teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Advanced computer literacy, with CRM experience being desirable.
Familiarity with the tertiary education sector and VTAC’s role within it (desirable).
Flexibility to travel and occasionally work additional hours as required.
