Bookkeeping and Small Practice Accounting

Part Time – 26 hours per week across 4 days

An opportunity exists for an experienced MYOB bookkeeper with exceptional administrative skills for a close knit team and successful business on the Northside of Brisbane.

The position will be approximately 26 hours per week with a minimum of four days a week present in the office and would suit school hours for a motivated and experienced bookkeeper to assist with all bookkeeping processes, administration, and customer service, working closely with the administrative team.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills, previous bookkeeping experience and a proven track record of performance in a similar role. This is an office-based position with car parking onsite.

Responsibilities will include;

Accounts Payable entering, reconciliations and payment runs.

Account receivables and the collection of debts

Data entry recording of all financial transactions, bank reconciliation processing.

Ordering processing

Finalise and close off EOM, EOY

Liaising with external accountants for all compliance requirements

Electronic filing and systems management

General administrative duties

Reporting as required by management.

Payroll

Preparation of BAS

Handling foreign currency

To be successful in this role you will have.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in bookkeeping

Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MYOB - this is essential

Inventory experience would be advantageous.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Excel

Certified level qualification in Bookkeeping/Accounting

Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Outstanding attention to detail

An organised approach and ability to follow systems and procedures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
