About the role

Orca Solar Lighting Pty Ltd is seeking a permanent part-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Acacia Ridge, Queensland. This is a permanent part time position. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our growing solar lighting business.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for all bookkeeping duties, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents

Reconcile bank statements

Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills and the ability to work unsupervised

Proficient in using accounting software including Xero. Experience with Netsuite would be an advantage but not necessary

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently, part of a team and be proactive

Sound knowledge of GST and BAS reporting requirements
