The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and driven professional to lead our Gifts in Wills program at The Kids Research Institute Australia. As the Gifts in Wills Lead, you will play a key role in growing and sustaining our bequest program, ensuring future support for vital children’s health research. Join our dynamic Development team and make a lasting impact by fostering meaningful relationships with donors and supporters.
Develop and implement a strategic Gifts in Wills program to encourage bequests to The Kids Research Institute Australia.
Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, ensuring they feel valued and connected to our mission.
Oversee the Fiona Stanley Circle, recognising and stewarding those who have chosen to leave a gift in their Will.
Collaborate with the Philanthropy Manager and broader Development team to implement donor engagement strategies.
Develop marketing materials and digital campaigns to enhance awareness and participation in the bequest program.
Ensure compliance with estate administration processes, working closely with legal and financial stakeholders.
Based at Perth Children’s Hospital, this is a full time, permanent position.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably in fundraising, relationship management, or customer-focused roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage donors.
Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrating empathy and a genuine interest in philanthropy.
Proven ability to manage projects, prioritise tasks, and work within a high-performing team.
Understanding of donor motivations and fundraising principles.
Experience in fundraising/philanthropy and knowledge of CRM systems (desirable but not essential).
A passion for science and health research impacting children and families.
