We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team.
Employment Type: Full Time Part time or Casual can be flexible for the right candidate.
Role Overview:
As the Medical Receptionist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. You will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing patient appointments, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the reception area. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
Handle incoming calls and emails, providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Process billing and payments, including Medicare and NDIS payments.
Assist with the coordination of specialist referrals and follow-up appointments.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming.
Adhere to all practice policies and procedures, including confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Qualifications and Experience:
No medical receptionist experience is required as full training is involved.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Medicare and NDIS billing processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
A team-oriented approach and the willingness to take on a mentoring role for junior staff
