About the role

Join our dedicated team at Value Residential Support Services as a Disability Support Worker. This is a casual position based in Robina, Queensland, providing compassionate in-home care and support to individuals living with disabilities. You will play a vital role in empowering our clients to live independently and participate actively in their communities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, medication, meal preparation, and light household tasks
• Accompanying and supporting clients to access the community, attend appointments, and engage in recreational activities
• Monitoring clients' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
• Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Experience in providing care and support to individuals with disabilities or complex needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with a diverse client base.
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to improving clients' quality of life.
• Positive, solution-focused attitude with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, and current First Aid/CPR certificates.
• Willingness to travel.
