About the role

As a Disability Support Worker at TMA Disability Support Services', you'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate and professional care to individuals with disabilities. This is a casual position based in Bundaberg, Queensland, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Accompanying and supporting clients to access community resources, attend appointments, and engage in social and recreational activities
• Implementing personalised support plans to help clients achieve their goals and maintain their independence
• Documenting and reporting on client progress, ensuring comprehensive records are maintained
• Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client support
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of clients and colleagues

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their independence and inclusion
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability), or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
• A valid driver's licence and the willingness to travel within the local area as required
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable individuals
