My client is an established professional services firm with a global network. Their key offerings include business advisory, tax, fund management, outsourced finance, governance, and regulatory compliance. They have a presence across the East Coast of Australia, with their Sydney team consisting of 70 staff across all disciplines.

Their clients operate in an array of industries and range from local businesses within Australia, to international entities and subsidiaries from all around the world.

As a result of growth they are now looking for an experienced accountant to join their business services division. You will be reporting into a Senior Manager, and working alongside a team of 5. The role will involve working collaboratively with other divisions in the firm, offshore team members, and counterparts in their global offices.

Key duties will include:

Preparing tax returns and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.

Delegating, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior and offshore team members

Providing advice and calculations on tax issues such as FBT, Div 7A, & CGT

Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies

Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other stakeholders (both AU & Internationally based)

The ideal candidate will possess:

CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards)

3 + years public practice experience

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and tax standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
