Warringa Park School is a specialist school located in Hoppers Crossing. The school population is drawn from the City of Wyndham and caters for students aged 5 to18 years who have a diagnosed intellectual disability ranging from mild to profound. Warringa Park is a P-12 school organised around the three stages of learning - the lower, middle and upper years. The Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) is offered in the later years. Our school currently has an enrolment of 704 students situated over four campuses. Our Cayleys Road Campus, located in Werribee South, holds our Year 10-12 VPC students as well as a flexible learning program for our Year 7-12 students. A year 7 to 9 campus is situated on the grounds of The Grange P-12 College in Bethany Rd. Our new campus located at Polly Parade Tarneit opened in 2023 and caters for our foundation and lower primary students from Prep to Grade 3. Warringa Park School promotes and values excellence in education for students with additional learning needs. There is collective efficacy amongst teaching staff that all students in our school can learn and want to learn and by working together we can make a difference to their learning achievements. The school provides a balanced and personalised curriculum where improved learning outcomes in English, Mathematics and Science are seen as integral to the achievement of successful post school options. The learning growth of students is charted using ABLES and The Victorian Curriculum. Selection Criteria

KSC 1 - Demonstrated ability and experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing procedures that ensure efficiencies within the role.

KSC 2 - Demonstrated capacity to perform the role of daily organisation, communications and Camp / Excursion Co-Ordinator.

KSC 3 - Demonstrated highly developed problem solving and time-management skills including the ability to meet and exceed deadlines and display initiative and creativity.

KSC 4 - Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high level oral and written communications skills.

KSC 5 - Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position.

KSC 6 - Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to management and other school staff in respect to the work area, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Role

Due to the nature of the Daily Organiser role, the hours of this position are 6.30am to 2.36pm Monday - Friday.

School holiday attendance normally not required. Any additional required work will be negotiated with the Principal under a leave purchase arrangement.

Camp and Excursions role will cover all aspects from beginning to end covering all Department and School requirements, strictly adhering to policy and ensuring all necessary compliance items are achieved.

Range 4 is distinguished by providing expertise and/or professional leadership dealing with more complex issues requiring specialised support, the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services.

The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school community to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration and operations.

Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. T

Coordinate delivery of a range of support services across a school/s involving a range of work areas

Manage the school/s budget involving liaison with school staff and the leadership team to ensure budget targets are met

Management of staff to achieve the expected outcomes is a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Daily Organiser

Cover classes on a day-to-day basis for 4 campuses. This includes but is not limited to:

Monitor the staff absence phone and emails regarding daily org.

Arrange alternative arrangements for classes that are unable to be covered by CRT’s.

Meet, greet and induct relief staff upon arrival each day.

Ensure all casual staff have required qualifications and licences.

Liaise with IT staff on a needs basis to ensure relief staff have the I.T support needed.

Liaise with HR Manager/Finance staff for staff absence records and relief staff invoices.

Maintain accurate records of staff absence, replacement classes and CRTs for audit and payment purposes.

Engage Casual Relief Teachers through approved agencies or the local casual staffing pool (including induction and monitoring their performance).

Develop and maintain resources to support CRTs in their role (CRT handbook; ICT resources etc).

Work with the Business Manager to maintain CRT records and employment documentation.

Utilise Compass/email to communicate with staff regarding daily organisation.

Be present in the general office daily between 8.00am and 9.30am to meet with CRTs and manage schedule, equipment and key distribution prior to the start of the school day.

Ensure all relief staff have the required accreditation.

Other duties that may be required by the principal staff and the Business Manager.

Communications

Distribute Compass permission notes to classes as required.

Assist with event/excursion planning and resource collection as required.

Support the principal, assistant principals and the business manager with administrative support as required.

As an education support staff member, the range of duties may be expanded in the future in accordance with the ES Level 1, Range 4 general duties.

Camp Excursion Co-Ordinator

Oversee co-ordination of camps and excursions for 4 campuses

Complete Risk Assessment requirements

School council approval paperwork and co-ordination

Liaise with teachers who organise alternative timetabled programs eg; excursions, incursions, camps etc.

Create custom classes on Compass when needed for events and camps.

Provide support to school events which require alterations to normal daily operations.

Co-ordinate camp packs for staff including all paperwork, permission/medical forms etc

Book transport

Co-ordinate staff requirements

Assist camp leader with preparation for all camp related issues eg. Venue, Catering, Transport

Completing all Purchase Orders

Confirm staffing and co-ordinate TIL payments
