Job Location: Based in Sydney - but MUST be willing to travel and must have drivers licence and own vehicle.

Employment Status: Casual (once trained up, an average of two days a week during terms 1 which is our peak period, one day a week during terms 2-4).

Enlighten Education is a multi-award winning, highly successful company that runs in-school evidence based wellbeing seminars. The Enlighten workshops cover everything from helping teens discover their own voice, to managing friendships, to fostering respectful relationships and decoding the mixed messages they receive through media. Enlighten encourages young people to reach their own conclusions and to know their own mind. Rather than telling participants what to do, we focus on informing, inspiring and empowering them. We encourage girls to be discerning consumers, critical thinkers and to find their own power in a complex world.

Enlighten has the most phenomenal team of presenters in Australia – and many have been presenting with me for over 15 years (we are a tight team). Due to massive expansion, we need another star who will present half and full day workshops in schools around the country. Enlighten presenters are ambassadors for Enlighten, the face of our company, and are a vital part of the success of our workshops. You will play a major role in engaging and connecting with the girls. An amazing Enlighten presenter is passionate about Enlighten, ensures the girls learning and experience of the day is long-lasting and memorable, and becomes a role model for the young people we work with. We are looking for presenters who can genuinely communicate the essence of the Enlighten workshops, and are passionate about the content and messages behind the Enlighten programs.

You must also be HIGHLY engaging, FUNNY (when teens are laughing, they are learning), energetic, and able to captivate up to 250 teens for 5 hours. Experience captivating large groups will be considered favourably and we'd love to showcase some culturally diverse voices!

Essential qualities:

A PASSIONATE commitment to young women and preferably a proven track record of success in communicating, working and connecting with them. You will be an ambassador for Enlighten Education.

EXCEPTIONAL presentation skills. When you talk - the whole room stops and listens! You are very funny, warm, genuine, engaging and confident.

DYNAMIC and creative personality! You have that “X factor” .

QUALIFICATIONS / studying in an area related to our work i.e.: journalism, psychology, gender studies, education, counselling, youth work etc. We also love drama school graduates!

A FLEXIBLE, POSITIVE ATTITUDE. We love a can-do attitude, and staff who display discretionary effort (the above and beyond contributors)!

Desirable - other work that is freelance / flexible (or perhaps you're at Uni). The role will be approximately one - two sessions per week. You must be willing to travel which will include overnight travel (generous travel allowances do apply). Travel will be mainly in rural and regional NSW and Melbourne.

The role is well paid once you are fully trained and ready to roll - $609.90 for a 3.5 hr presentation, $841.82 for a five hour presentation. We work in schools so presentations are during school hours. These amounts includes super and an allowance to type up your evaluations afterwards, although additional travel allowances also apply.

Please note, we are not after someone who is trying to build their own business and is looking at using this as an opportunity to pinch our clients and IP (we have been burnt a few times before!).
