5+ years experience working as an Occupational Therapist.

Location: Hybrid (with negotiation).
Clinic in Mayfield, Outreach to Newcastle & Lake Macquarie Regions & Working from Home.

Position: Part-Time (16 hours a week minimum) or Full-Time (up to 38 hours per week) permanent position.

Wages: $95,000 – $118,560 (per year) + Super (negotiable based on KPIs and experience).

Laptop, iPad, and mobile phone provided for work use.

Paid clinical supervision (external) – frequency negotiable based on need.

$2,500 PD budget (full fee covered up to $2,000 per year, 50% contribution up to $3,000 per year) and up to 10 days of paid PD leave per year (for FTE/pro-rata for part-time employees).

4 weeks of annual leave and 10 days of sick leave/compassionate leave per year.

We close for two weeks over Christmas (annual or unpaid leave applies) and offer flexibility with leave throughout the year.

Working within an experienced and growing team of speech pathologists, social workers, and other allied health professionals.

Full-time administrative support.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or higher).

AHPRA registration (current and in good standing).

Current First Aid and CPR training, ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.

Current Working with Children’s Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check (current and valid).

A valid, unrestricted Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, team members and the community.

Experience training and educating allied health professionals, educators, families and the community.

Passion for neurodiversity-affirming practice—dedicated to supporting children with diverse needs and affirming their unique strengths.

Experience working with children and adolescents with sensory processing differences.

Desire to make a positive impact by working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Experience and/or desire to participate in neurodiversity-affirming research projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Establish the OT Service – Set up the Occupational Therapy service for Neuro Flourish, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, individualised, connection-centred, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming assessments and supports for children, adolescents, and their families. Services will be provided across various settings, including our clinic (Mayfield, NSW), client homes, pre-schools, schools, telehealth, and community spaces.

Conduct Assessments – Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate sensory, motor, and functional skills, identifying strengths and areas of support for each child. Functional Capacity Assessment experience is beneficial but not essential.

Develop and Implement Support Plans – Design and deliver individualised support plans that align with each child and family’s goals, providing structured, child-led activities to promote development and independence in daily tasks.

Deliver Therapy in Client-Preferred Locations – Travel to schools, homes, and community settings to deliver on-site therapy, or provide online sessions, fostering a comfortable and accessible environment for children and families.

Collaborate with Families and Caregivers – Work collaboratively with families and caregivers to support skill development, provide training, and offer guidance to reinforce therapeutic goals at home.

Complete Administrative Duties – Manage therapeutic administration tasks, including progress note writing, report preparation, and maintaining documentation such as consent forms, service agreements, and risk assessments in an efficient and timely manner.

Schedule with Autonomy – Design and manage your ideal workweek to maintain a balance that suits your life!

Participate in Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Engage in team meetings and joint sessions as required, working alongside other allied health professionals to ensure holistic support.

Ensure Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice – Utilise neurodiversity-affirming approaches that respect each child’s unique strengths, supporting their identity and providing holistic care.
