Position Description – Partnerships Manager, Power Retail
The primary function of the Partnerships Manager is to prospect new clients through network development, lead development, outbound calling, or any other means of generating interest for potential Power Retail clients across the core products of events, digital and bespoke reports.
The Partnerships Manager will be required to develop a rapport with new and existing clients, and work to increase and develop the Power Retail client base. The growth and retention of existing clients is a key component of the role. The Partnerships Manager will be required to attend industry events for the acquisition of new clients and existing client development.
Strategic planning is a key component of the role, and it is the responsibility of the sales executive to develop the pipeline of new business into the company. This requires developing a thorough knowledge of the market, and the solutions/services the company can provide. The main duties are summarised as follows:
New Business Development
o Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
o Leverage Power Retail lead generation activities and ensure all leads are followed up to a resolution (sale or no sale)
o Outbound contact as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
o Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation
o Research and build relationships with new and existing clients
o Set up meetings/phone calls with client decision makers
o Plan approaches and pitches. Develop proposals that speaks to the client’s business needs, concerns, and objectives
o Participate in pricing of the solution/service
o Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
o Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
Client Retention
o Account management of existing clients and oversight that deliverables are met
o Present new products and services where possible and enhance existing relationships
o Address any existing client concerns and where reasonable, endeavour to make improvements to secure ongoing business
o Take on board client feedback and pass on to management to improve the Power Retail product and preserve client loyalty
Business Development Planning
o Represent Power Retail at industry functions, where appropriate, and maintain contact with market and content trends
o Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, product enhancements and distribution/sales partner channels (eg. Web agencies) that will lead to an increase in sales
o Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
Management and Research
o Submit weekly progress reports to the Sales Director and ensure data is accurate
o Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within VTiger CRM
o Work with marketing staff to ensure that lead generation activities are continuous and improving
