The Opportunity
Noosa Council has an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic customer service, and event superstars to join our libraries team on a casual basis. These roles work front of house providing excellent customer service, supporting users with library services and basic digital literacy needs as well as creating welcoming spaces. These roles will also support events that nurture enrichment, well-being and literacy for adult and young people and family audiences.
We want to hear from you if you have a genuine interest in:
· Customer service
· Working with young people and families including delivering regular rhyme and song sessions for babies, stories for under 5s, and fun school holiday programs for ages 6+
· Delivering workshops in our Makerspaces including working with traditional and emerging technologies (sewing, Cricut Maker 3, 3D printing and laser engraver)

Multiple positions are available. Flexibility to work across a Monday to Sunday roster across Noosa Libraries service points including Noosaville Library, Cooroy Library and Mobile Library is required.
A Blue Card may be required depending on the duties of the role.

About You
In this role you will:
· Provide a proactive and customer-focused approach to library service delivery, following established procedures and policies under general supervision across Noosa Libraries service points.
· Assist library customers use technology and equipment including computers, photocopiers, wireless internet access, online resources, eBooks, library apps and mobile devices.
· Contribute to planning and delivery of programs and events that respond to the needs of the Noosa community, with a focus on programming for young people and families, or Makerspace workshops.

· Be community minded, a champion for diversity, inclusion and accessibility, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Be tech-savvy with strong knowledge of how to use a computer/smart devices, printers, and online resources/apps.
· Be passionate about the role Libraries play in providing opportunities for learning, social connection, creativity and innovation.
· Hold or be able to obtain a current Working with Children Blue Card.
