Exciting opportunity to work within a leading Australian Banks' Market Risk function.

Hybrid, flexible working environment with an expectation of 2 days per week in the office.

This opportunity is based in Sydney.

As the incumbent, you will join this leading Australian Banks' high performing Market Risk function in a Senior Manager position, and you will assist with key activities and metrics such as VaR, Stress Testing, Structural Risk Reporting and compliance as they pertain to Traded Market Risk, as well as the associated prudential standards such as APS 116, APS 180 and Pillar 3 returns.

In this role you will partake in a broad range of activities associated with Market Risk, from contributing to innovation, analysing results, reviewing new products, assisting the business with ad-hoc enquires, periodic reviews of data and regulatory compliance.

This is the ideal position for an experienced Risk candidate with strong exposure to Traded Market Risk to further their career in a multi-faceted role within a leading Australian Bank.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse reported results, ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory standards such as APS 116, APS 180 and Pillar 3 returns.
• Uplift the efficiency of the team and institution through fostering an environment of innovation, growth and further development of Reporting processes.
• Assist in documentation of procedures and respond to ad-hoc queries from the broader business.
• Maintain up-to-date expertise of regulatory developments and/ or issues as they pertain to the Trading Book.
• Partake in periodic reviews of Data and associated commentaries.

Requirements:

• At least 7 years' experience within a Risk Management position with exposure to the Traded Market Risk domain.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as APS 116, APS 180 and Pillar 3 returns.
• Some technical knowledge of SQL, R or Python (advantageous).
