Suitably qualified person: A person who meets the criteria for a ‘FIRST qualified educator’ in South Australia. This includes those who are:

registered as a primary or secondary school teacher in Australia

completed a Diploma or Bachelor level degree in a relevant field (see https://www.acecqa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2024-05/ACECQAApprovedQualificationListOSHC.pdf)

is actively working towards a Bachelor of Education degree AND has completed at least 50 per cent of the qualification.

Those applicable as a SECOND qualified educator are more than welcome to apply, however, they will be redirected to a qualified casual position within the service instead.

QUALIFIED EDUCATOR:

Permanent Part Time

CSE Level 4.1 - Qualified

25 hrs per week

Flexibility

3 month Probation at $32.00 - $36.96

Thereafter, 5% above award

Accrues Annual, Sick and Long Service Leave

Superannuation 11.5%

Paid public holidays

2 weeks Annual Leave will be taken over Christmas / New Year.

SERVICE OPEN:

7am - 8:35am Before School Care

3:10pm - 6:15pm After School Care

7am - 6:15pm Vacation Care.

HOURS OF WORK:

Set roster according to service's needs

Afternoon availability is critical

Additional hours during Vacation Care

Additional hours during Pupil Free Days.

VARIETY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervising children

Programming activities

Prepare / Cook meals

Communication - families, staff, school leadership

General admin tasks.

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate must have the following:

An ACECQA recognized Qualification. Scroll list for South Australia: https://www.acecqa.gov.au/media/25366.

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) certificate.

Current Responding to Risk of Abuse and Neglect Training (RRHAN-EC) certificate.

Current Providing an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting (including annual CPR refresher) certificate.

Do Food Safely hygiene training certification.
