Outside School Hours Care

PERMANENT Employment at SEAFORD DISTRICT COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S CENTRE

We are seeking educators with a Diploma in Early Education and Care OR a Certificate lll in Early Education and Care.

The position requires educators to be available to work at our OSHC site. OSHC hours during school term are from 6.00 am - 9.00 am and / or 2.00 pm - 6.00 pm.

Vacation Care hours during school holiday periods can vary from 6.00 am - 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.

At SDCCC you are expected to be an active member of the team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children.

This includes:

Developing strong relationships with children and families at the service;

Implementing and always upholding the policies and associated procedures and practices of the organisation; and

Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations and service.

General Responsibilities

Involved in supporting the team which provides high quality early childhood education and care;

Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care, Code of Ethics and Code of Ethics.

Implementing and upholding the services’ philosophy while undertaking all duties;

Support the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service;

Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety;

Maintain and uphold privacy and confidentiality.

Development of sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards

Undertake other duties requested by the Director.
