The Heights OSHC is seeking a Relief OSHC Educator for Term 2 with the potential to extend. Open to everyone. Qualified Educator desirable but not essential.

Here at the Heights OSHC we are a culturally diverse and inclusive service catering to children from Preschool to Year 6. Our program is developed through children leading their own play and working constructively in a safe and supportive environment. We facilitate positive social experiences and outcomes for all children that attend.

OSHC operates 50 weeks of the year and is closed over the Christmas / New Year period. We are seeking a high calibre educator to work a variety of shifts; this includes before and after school care and vacation care. Operational hours start from 7:00am and conclude as late as 6:00pm.

Current pay rate is $30-$40 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading, plus you also receive superannuation at the current rate of 11.5%. Pay rate is dependant on level of Qualification as per the Children's Services Award.

All successful applicants would receive support and training and work closely with the Assistant Director and Director to be successful in the role.

Job Description

Support in preparing developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups.

Responsible for ensuring a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children through quality care and supervision.

Responsible for ensuring that records are maintained accurately for children and families, and support with basic administrative duties.

Develop, implement and evaluate daily processes and routines.

Ensure that service policies and procedures are adhered to.

Liaise with families and the community.

Punctual, professional and well presented.

Qualifications

Desirable:

Essential:

Current Working With Children Check

Current First Aid Certificate to include asthma and anaphylactic training

Current accreditation in Responding to Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC)
