The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Examinations Branch in the VCE Examinations Unit for a fixed term full-time position.

  • Salary: $121,250 - $132,764 VPS5.2 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%)
  • Fixed term till 1 May 2026
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions maybe available)
  • Usual work location: East Melbourne

Role purpose

The role is to project manage the development and assessment of VCE examinations. Working closely with relevant Curriculum Managers and Assessment Operations staff as required, this role has overall responsibility for the examination specifications, development, and quality assessment for a range of VCE studies on the Victorian and/or Northern Hemisphere Academic timetables and is critical in enabling the production of high-quality examinations that fairly assess the learning of students undertaking VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3-4 studies.

About the unit

The VCE Examinations unit develops and produces all VCE written examinations, including those for the Northern Hemisphere Timetable. The unit produces alternative format examinations, examination specifications, sample examination materials and examination reports.

Experience and qualifications

Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in Education or Project Management.
