The role

The Department for Education is seeking expressions of interest for Classroom Support roles in the Riverlands region of South Australia. In a Classroom Support role, you will work with a variety of students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs. This may include special learning needs and 1:1 support for students with extreme behaviours and social issues.

Key responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs

Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation and delivery

Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students

Monitor and track student progress, communicating with teachers as needed

Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential

Flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate the diverse needs of students

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

The successful applicants will be required to travel across sites within the Riverland Secondary Schools Alliance, including Renmark, Berri, Loxton, and Waikerie. This is a temporary/casual position covering staff on leave, the hours will vary.
