About the role

Little Blue Wren Services' is seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers who would like to express their interest in joining our team on a casual basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities to live independent and fulfilling lives. The position is based in Moree, NSW. This role is open to career progressions such as Supervisor, Team Leader, Support Coordination, Compliance and much more. At Little Blue Wren Services, we are all about progression through strong leadership and support to grow.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalised care and support to clients with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and psychosocial needs

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating community participation and social inclusion by accompanying clients to appointments, events, and recreational activities

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a respectful and empowering manner

Maintaining detailed client records and documentation as required

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plans

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification

Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders

A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to supporting the independence and wellbeing of people with disabilities

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
