About the Role
The role of Site Engineer reports to the Project Manager and will allow you to gain broad exposure to project management, design, construction systems, associated disciplines, and controls. Develop an understanding of Aqualand’s approach to project delivery, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the highest quality and health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable to the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer for managing the overall administration of the project
Develop a strong understanding of Aqualand’s systems and controls, implementing them in day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and quality
Assist and support the project team in exceeding project parameters related to time, cost, quality, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers within assigned disciplines, including:
Reviewing tender designs.
Preparing scope and technical documentation.
Preparing subcontractor (S/C) tender lists.
Managing the tender process.
Vetting and recommending tenders.
Engaging subcontractors.
Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site and to ensure the project is delivered in compliance with Aqualand’s Construction Integrated Management System (CIMS) and HSEQ policies and procedures.
Perform Quality and progress inspections on site with subcontractors and consultants and maintain accurate reporting on project’s advancement.
Administer complex supply chains both domestically and internationally to ensure the procurement and logistics of the project is managed in a way that programme and quality requirements are achieved.
Prepare and monitor quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with project standards.
Adhere to Aqualand’s Construction Integrated Management System (IMS) and HSEQ policies and procedures, ensuring that all actions align with company standards.
About you
Strong administration skills – organised, thorough, systems orientated with meticulous attention to detail and Intermediate MS Office skills.
Basic understanding of programming.
Strong commitment to and proven ability to provide a high standard of customer service.
Ability to multitask.
Well-developed verbal and written skills.
Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and professionalism.
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
Construction Industry OHS White Card.
