About the Role:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Payroll Officer. As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for managing the payroll for a dynamic and diverse workforce of approximately 500 employees across retail and head office locations. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is meticulous in ensuring the accuracy of data. We are looking for someone with flexibility to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Fortnightly Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, including both retail and head office staff.

Payroll Adjustments and Terminations: Handle any payroll adjustments.

Reporting: Generate and prepare month-end payroll reports and other ad hoc reports as required by management, ensuring all figures are reconciled and accurate.

Employee Inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll-related questions, providing clear, professional, and timely responses to resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies.

Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant legislation and internal company policies, maintaining a high level of accuracy at all times.

About You:

Experience: Previous experience processing payroll is advantageous, but we are open to those who are tech savy, a number wiz and a strong willingness to learn.

Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for payroll data entry, reporting, and correspondence. Prior experience with payroll systems such as UKG Kronos or Payroll Metrics is highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with various internal teams and external stakeholders. You must be able to convey complex payroll information in a clear and professional manner.

Attention to Detail: You must possess a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail when reviewing payroll data and generating reports.

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve payroll issues efficiently and effectively, providing solutions and ensuring minimal disruption to payroll timelines.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines, especially during peak payroll periods.
