About the Role

As a Finance Officer, you will provide high-quality financial and budgetary services, supporting informed decision-making at senior levels. Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant, you will:

Maintain divisional budgets, including workforce and expenditure forecasting.

Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis for executive leadership and Treasury.

Provide expert financial advice to ensure best practices and compliance.

Oversee transactions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Support the team in driving efficiency and continuous improvement in financial operations.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in financial and budget management, ideally within the SA public sector.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and advise stakeholders effectively.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting (or working towards) are desirable.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Excel
