Key responsibilities
• Interpret and apply financial policies, procedures with their application to the regional office e.g. understanding the chart of accounts, entertainment expenses and corporate cards.
• Prepare financial documentation e.g. journals, accruals, reconciliations.
• Assist in the development of local work practices to meet regional office needs and to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Provide on the job financial training on a one-to-one basis or in a small forum.
• Conduct analysis of financial activities to align with multiple financial systems and processes to provide consistent application within the regional office.
• Lead and coordinate program support officers to provide a range of program/project support and administration.
• Collate, monitor and report on the performance and status of program/project and administrative support activities.
• Comply with the WH&S Act, Regulations and Departmental policy.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
