About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and movtivated Finance Officer to join the EPA Finance Team. This role is accountable to the Principal Adviser Finance for the provision of external licencee customer support and revenue capture. The role contributes to the internal financial integrity and reporting, while providing support to the finance team and internal customers.

The Finance Officer is responsible for preparing monthly journals and reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records. This includes processing, reviewing, and assisting with the collection of levies and fees for EPA licence holders, as well as handling refunds when necessary. In addition, the Finance Officer plays an important role in contributing to the monthly data integrity processes, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and consistent. Another key responsibility is assisting with finance system access management and providing system (BASWARE, COGNOS) training to EPA staff. The Finance Officer also assists to manage credit card access and provides staff support to address any financial-related queries or issues.

The role involves assisting with the management and reporting of debt collection, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of outstanding debts. Additionally, the Finance Officer contributes to the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax returns and plays a vital role in the annual asset stocktake and capital planning processes. Finally, the Finance Officer supports the preparation of statutory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Desirable Qualifications
Recognised degree level qualification in Accounting or Accounting related discipline (majoring in Accounting)

Remuneration
ASO4 ($76,561- $80,256 per annum) + 11.5% super added to your choice of super fund.
