The Opportunity
Servicing major infrastructure projects and Tier 1 & 2 clients, this structural contractor specialises in concrete formwork, retaining walls, suspended slabs, ground slabs and commercial car parks across all of Metro Melbourne. Due to repeat success, this company has outlined a strong need for a Senior Estimator.

This is an opportunity to work for a busy construction company pricing work for Victoria's premier infrastructure projects.

Your Key Responsibilities include the following:

• Lead the charge for quality overall tendering and pricing activities coming into the business
• Risk-averse from the initial concept design stage, value engineer solutions, and reduce project delays.
• Be a conduit between, Project, Operations and Estimating teams to solve technical problems
• Be the final point of review for all tender submissions and bid proposals
• Negotiate contract terms directly with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Continuously refine estimating processes, procedures and technologies for successful outcomes

To be considered you will have the following attributes:

• Experience pricing and writing bids for similar projects in the Australian market up to $20 million construction value
• Previous experience pricing to Tier 1 / 2 standards
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator controlling the entire tender/pricing process
• Degree in Construction/Engineering
• Strong understanding of steel framing, concrete materials, and allocated labour to deliver projects
