Are you an experienced leader in facilities management and looking to make an impact? Curtin University is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Manager to oversee the strategic management and operation of our diverse and state-of-the-art campus facilities.
About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be providing strategic direction and oversight to a team of Facility Managers responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and operation of Curtin University’s diverse and complex building assets. These include state-of-the-art facilities across the Bentley, Perth City, and Kalgoorlie campuses, which house a wide range of advanced and specialised assets, such as research laboratories, unique installations, and commercial tenants.
In this role you will:
- Lead and mentor Facility Managers to ensure top-tier service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies and budgets for building operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.
- Build strong relationships with tenants, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in facilities management processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Facilities Management or equivalent experience.
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, manage, and develop diverse teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Experience in business analysis, budget management, and operational efficiency.
- Contract & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract management and statutory regulations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Commitment to Safety & Inclusion: A dedication to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for staff, students, and stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a large multi-disciplined organisation focused on managing the delivery of project outcomes within an integrated public realm and built form environment.
Role Requirements:
- Permanent Australian Working Rights.
- Willing to travel to Kalgoorlie when required.
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
