Position Overview

We are currently seeking a General Manager of Clinical Operations to oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical services across our organisation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing program and service leaders, ensuring clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace culture.

As the General Manager, you will work closely with the Executive Team to drive business growth, address operational needs, and optimise client outcomes. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage regional and departmental budgets, and implement strategies to meet workforce demands, all while maintaining a focus on compliance and the quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support program and service leaders, ensuring high-quality clinical care delivery.
  • Drive business development and growth in line with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain clinical excellence, overseeing care delivery across teams.
  • Manage regional and departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Foster a positive, value-driven workplace culture.
  • Forecast and plan for future workforce needs, implementing strategies for development and performance.

About You: You are a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for clinical excellence. You have experience in managing teams, driving business growth, and optimising clinical operations within budget constraints.

Essential Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria.

  • Qualifications (Registered Nurse) and experience relevant to health service management at an executive/ senior level.
  • Proven track record of achieving strategic objectives and managing operational plans.
  • Deep understanding of Australia’s health reform agenda.
  • Proficiency in using health technologies.
  • Strong decision-making, strategic planning, and change management skills.
  • Familiarity with clinical governance frameworks and legislation within Australian primary care, ensuring safety, quality, risk management and continuous improvement of services.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of funding models in primary healthcare, such as Government grants, fee-for-service, bulk billing and activity-based income.
  • Business acumen with a solid understanding of financial management and governance principles.

Credentialling:

  • Division 1 Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Current Western Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Pre-employment Health Declaration
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check WA
