About the Role The position is the primary interface for Faculties and Divisions for all space related matters; responsible for managing allocations, developing project briefs, providing solutions for new space requests and ensuring efficient and effective use of space. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for: • Manage space allocations across the university by assigning space based on forecast requirements, assessing requests, negotiating changes, supporting business cases, and ensuring efficient use through audits and analysis.• Develop project briefs and assess new building requirements by planning future movements, evaluating requests, determining best allocations, and working closely with the Project team throughout implementation to ensure adherence to space standards and successful implementation of relocations and refurbishments.• Provide the Head of Space Management with accurate and timely reports by analysing data, assessing space utilization, contributing to long-term planning, and improving systems and processes.• Communicate and educate university contacts on space planning by sharing policies and strategies, collaborating with other departments, maintaining external best practice relationships, and refining space planning processes and procedures.• Support continuous improvement by developing key performance indicators, optimizing space management systems, and enhancing strategies to ensure effective and efficient use of university facilities. Demonstrated experience analysing complex situations and making effective recommendations.2. Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholders at all levels.3. Ability to establish requirements through consultation and translate to accommodation needs4. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally with university experience is highly desirable but not essential. This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
