The Team
Family and Domestic Violence Response Teams (FDVRTs) working in partnership with the Department of Communities, Western Australia Police Force, family and domestic violence Coordinated Response Services (CRS) and Department of Justice, Adult Community Corrections (ACC), work towards improving the safety of child and adult victim-survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV) and the accountability of perpetrators collaboratively.
The FDVRT is considered to be the state's frontline response to Family Domestic Violence (FDV), requiring the involvement of many service systems and agencies including child protection, police, specialised FDV services, courts, health, and housing.
The Opportunity
As a Family Safety Coordinator, you will provide a key interface between government agencies, community service organisations and the local community, gathering and sharing information to provide enhanced access to supports and services.
Your main duties include;
- Convening and leading Multi-Agency Case Management (MACM) meetings for those open to the FSS,
- Providing a case management and coordination function, aligned to practice guidelines, for those open to FSS,
- Consulting on matters pertaining to FDV including acceptability of referral to the FSS, and
- Establishing, leading and/or contributing to local FDV sector working groups seeking to strengthen existing service systems, address gaps and barriers and drive placed-based initiatives.
