My client is a market-leading ERP vendor with a large client base, across Australia & beyond, that are across a vast array of industries & domains. With demand for their solutions greater than ever, they are now looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager (software delivery) to join them.

These roles are client facing & will consist of a variety of new implementations, upgrades etc. Projects will vary in length from a few weeks to 18m+. You will typically be managing multiple projects concurrently, in this fast-paced role. With first class stakeholder management skills, you will combine your ERP software project experience with your Consultative approach to successfully deliver for your clients.

I am looking for applications from Project Managers with a proven track record of delivery as a PM on ERP software projects ideally but candidates with an exceptional track record of delivery on Business Software implementations will also be considered if you possess the commercial acumen to engage with a broad variety of clients across different sectors.

Candidates need first class client engagement skills & must be able to create workarounds & overcome roadblocks on projects, so the ability to influence at all levels is crucial. Ideally, you will have gained this experience working vendor side, delivering into external clients, although exceptional candidates with client-side experience will also be considered.

In terms of the projects you have managed these need to have been in the ERP (e.g. Infor, Sage, Epicor, TechnologyOne, Sap B1, MS Dynamics etc.)software space & they need to have been ideally Tier 2 in scale. First class team leadership & management qualities are essential as is the ability to manage scope, issues, budgets etc. along with strong commercial awareness/ financial savvy. The ability to identify potential risks early & mitigate against them is crucial, so I am looking for Project Managers who have at least 5 years' experience in the PM arena.

You will be working as part of a broader Professional Services function, operating closely with Consultants, Solution Architects, Sales etc. so the ability to build strong internal relationships in a business consulting environment will be critical to your success. Prior experience delivering ERP software projects in a Consultancy or Vendor environment is a strong preference.

Some type of formal PM methodology / qualification is expected (e.g. PMBOK, PMI, Prince 2) as is good project hygiene experience (budgets, timelines, resources etc. - e.g. MS Project or similar)

This role is client facing & will involve regular client-site work, it's a hybrid (3/2) environment though the first couple of weeks may need more time in the office (introductions, inductions, meeting the wider team etc.) in the short-term.

Aside of this it is expected you will have all the other generic qualities required by high performing PM's in the ERP software delivery arena ( time management, ability to prioritise, creative problem solving, excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, strong documentation skills et al.), managing scope creep & managing the customers' expectations & getting buy in for the solution is an essential element of getting success in this role.
