We require a Drawing Office Manager for our Client’s business.

Demonstrated 10 years' relevant design experience in the resources sector.

Five years' experience in a senior or lead design role in multi-disciplined engineering projects for an engineering services organisation.

Highly organised, presentable, and trustworthy - delivers on expectations.

Clear and concise verbal and written communication.

Team and stakeholder management.

Anticipated duration is 12 months, ongoing.

Based in Perth CBD.

The Drawing Office Manager is accountable for the design-drafting functional capability, including:

Maintenance and development of design related quality procedures, work instructions and CAD systems which will enable and ensure timely, cost effective and fit-for-purpose design and drafting output.

Input to the maintenance and development of the Company's Safety in Design, Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement tools, systems and processes on behalf of the design and drafting function.

Continuous improvement of the capability and performance of the design/drafting team.

Development of the Client’s design platform to leverage the benefits of intelligent 3D design tools including input to strategic planning for implementation.

Providing design/drafting functional support to the Lead Discipline Designers in the execution of individual projects including personnel / resources management and cost & schedule performance.

Forecasting of resource requirements and support with recruitment /onboarding.

Input to and review/approval of design and drafting estimating for projects and maintenance of estimating norms.

Liaising with the management team for strategy development & forward workload planning.

The Drawing Office Manager is a key member of the team and works closely with the GM Engineering, Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, Lead Discipline Engineers, Lead Discipline Designers, and other team members.
