- Building strong relationships with architects and software engineers to drive effective architecture practices and uplift architecture capability maturity
- Embedding cybersecurity and risk management into architectural frameworks that help in complying with NSW government policies.
- Championing interoperability, open data strategies, and API-first approaches that support seamless integration across government services.
- Monitoring emerging technologies and work with the others to assess their impact and provide advice on things like AI governance, ethical data use, and automation
- Mentoring and coaching senior team members to foster their growth and development

- You're passionate about creating customer-focused architectural outcomes and can navigate competing needs and expectations of stakeholders.
- You're an excellent communicator who can translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You're commercially minded, and able to consider the financial implications of architectural choices
- You thrive in complex, multi-agency environments, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning diverse teams towards a common vision.
On your first day, you'll have:
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for driving digital innovation and public sector modernisation
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing technical strategy and standards
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, open-source solutions, and modern software development practices such as test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps
- The ability to build and maintain enterprise roadmaps while identifying future opportunities and potential blockers
- Experience in managing high-performing teams and creating an inclusive, collaborative culture
- A deep understanding of enterprise and business architecture principles with the ability to align technology strategy with business and customer mission.
