About the role

Kerfab Group is seeking an Engineering Draftsperson to join our team in Victoria. This full-time role will see you play a crucial part in supporting our engineering team and the development of our industry-leading engineering products.

Kerfab Group headquarters is in Kerang. We will consider applicants based in Melbourne with an expectation of attending Kerang approximately 5 days per month.

What you'll be doing

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for applications using Solidworks

Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications

Perform engineering calculations and analysis to validate designs

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and project managers

Support the full product development lifecycle from concept to production

Participate in prototype development, testing, and refinement

Contribute to design documentation and technical reports

Assist with production support, procurement and problem solving as required

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Proficiency with 3D CAD software, SolidWorks

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes

Experience with sheet metal design, machining, and assembly techniques

Problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
