Utility Solutions Group Pty Ltd (USG) is an expert utility service provider, specialising in civil constructing and maintaining underground and overhead electrical infrastructure, public lighting and intelligent transport systems.

Utility Solutions Group, based in Melbourne, seeks an experienced Civil Engineer Draftsperson.

Required training and a company vehicle will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce high-quality civil/ electrical drawings in line with Industry, Vesi & Utility standards using the AutoCAD software.
• Extraction of land-based data from GIS systems to ensure that all designs/as-built documentation within the geographic data are accurate.
• Preparing and reviewing rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data, ensuring they conform to design concepts.
• Performing the updates and changes in the Geographic Information System and generating AutoCAD Drawings as provided in the as-built sketches.
• Convert drawings from imperial to metric as per the Utility standards.
• Complete the civil Audit (QC/QA) process.
• Interact with the customer on-site and office to resolve technical queries.
• Collaboration with the civil crew as necessary.
• Civil construction estimating.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or Civil Design/ Auditor.
• Previous Industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, GE Smallworld
• Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)
