Financial accounting to support the FD

Niche distribution business

Lower North Shore with WFH flexibility. $110K + Super.

Company Background

Our client has been in business for over 20 years. They supply niche products to the mining sector throughout Australia & Asia. They have their head office and warehousing in Sydney, then supply their custom-made products across their markets.

You would work with a well-tenured Head of Finance who is ready to train and develop you into the role. The staff are dotted across the NSW locations, so you will enjoy working in a small, friendly office with flexible working arrangements.

The Role

This role is great for someone who likes variety & autonomy! You would support the Finance Director and be responsible for three main areas, focusing on accounting and payroll:

Salaried payroll for 40 staff. This includes all related payments, calculations and HR support.

Month-end support for the Head of Finance. This includes:

Bank reconciliation

Accruals, prepayments, journals

Costing of goods

Systems support – the ‘go-to’ person for the ERP system.

Your Background

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills & qualities:

Experience processing payroll end to end.

Month-end accounting experience including reconciliations, journal and accruals.

Systems savvy.

Inventory, COGS, FX experience.

You do not need to have done/be doing a CA or CPA qualification. Our client is more interested in your attitude and willingness to learn and take on new things.

Excellent communication skills and a valid working visa for Australia are essential.
