We are an established software provider serving childcare centers, family day care centers and local councils across Australia. Our platform interfaces with a multitude of government and external systems. Our fully remote, multicultural team values innovation, collaboration, and personal growth.

This is an opportunity to own the product roadmap and shape our technical direction—directly collaborating with the CEO and driving value for childcare operators and their families.

What you will do

Product Vision & Roadmap

Own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing feature development, regulatory requirements, and technical debt

Interface with clients, gather requirements, and keep stakeholders aligned

Implement and champion Agile best practices

Technical Leadership

Evolve and optimize our AWS environment

Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitLab

Drive the transition from a monolith application to a microservices architecture

Make key architectural decisions and guide overall technical strategy

Team Management & Culture

Oversee a small team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Provide mentorship, code reviews, and technical guidance

Grow the team to support future requirements

Strategic Collaboration

Work hand-in-hand with the CEO on company-wide initiatives

Ensure alignment of product and engineering objectives with broader corporate strategy

Manage vendor relationships, partner integrations, and cost optimization

What We are Looking For

Proven experience in product management and technical leadership

Comfort with hands-on technical tasks (AWS, DevOps, Ruby on Rails, microservices)

Ability to balance short-term deliverables with a long-term product vision

Strong communication skills, thriving in a remote and multicultural environment

Eagerness to roll up your sleeves and mentor team members

Highly Desirable Skills

Expertise in Postgres or large-scale database migrations / performance tuning

Track record modernizing legacy applications

Experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization
