Blue Farm Intelligence is a mature startup with growing subscription of its products placing us firmly as an early leader in this growth space. We provide Farm Management and digital solutions for the sustainable aquaculture industry – such as Shellfish, Seaweed and Algae.

Our passion is supporting our heroes, the worlds mari-farmers, who grow food and resources whilst creating additional positive impacts for the environment and communities (Positive Impact Aquaculture). We provide FM solutions to assist in improving production and decision making, evidencing/credentialling and data value adding.

We are seeking a high calibre Senior F/S S/W engineer to be our first Product Manager. Working closely with the founder, the role may evolve as we scale (X 30). The role would also be hands on with dev skills as required, as well as the Technical Product Manager working with hybrid teams, and occasional client facing activities.

With our key tech partners we are building Version 2 of our flagship App, integrating AI, releasing Tracing App MVP, scaling globally, reviewing and upgrading architecture/security/IP protection/interoperability/process.

What you’ll do

Some of the activities of this role would be:
- Working closely with tech partners, oversee small but multiple/hybrid teams and stakeholders
- Ensure world best modern development principles, standards, methods, coding (around Dev, API’s, stack/tools)
- Key participation in Agile teams (and tools required)
- Participate in design of V2 and upgrade
- Assist in architecture review/updates
- Ensure technical integrity and IP is protected
- Ensure appropriate documentation of products (Schemas, UI, other)
- Set up reproduceable process for successful scale up (1-3 year plan)
- Coordinate Test teams and key corporate client participation in roadmap
- Assist requirements and design (New features, visualisations, Data Share, integrations)
- create mock-ups quickly, and assist in providing reports/data as needed
- Advise founder on tech solution to enable our vision
- Provide S/W dev from time to time as appropriate
- participate in meet-ups, industry seminars, and company get togethers.
- Bonus: create pBI dasboards
