Position Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager (Head of Engineering) to lead and coordinate the technical and engineering operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimisation of engineering projects and processes, ensuring they align with company goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, direct and coordinate the engineering and technical operations across departments.

Determine, implement and monitor engineering strategies, policies and plans to support the organisation’s objectives.

Interpret complex engineering drawings, plans and specifications; provide expert guidance on engineering methods and procedures.

Establish and manage project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Ensure compliance with all relevant specifications, safety standards, regulations and legislation.

Uphold engineering standards relating to quality, cost, safety, timeliness, and performance across projects.

Oversee maintenance planning and execution to optimise equipment and facility efficiency.

Liaise with internal stakeholders including marketing, research, and manufacturing teams regarding engineering aspects of new products and facility design.

Contribute to research and development initiatives to foster innovation in solar technologies and systems.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.

Proven at least 5 years of experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy or solar sector.

Strong knowledge of engineering management principles, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
