Test Analyst - 6 months - $650/day - Syd

About the Role:

Our client is currently seeking a talented Senior Test Engineer to join a cloud transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, debugging, and identifying corrective actions, while ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that testing processes are aligned with business and technical goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute both manual and automated tests for new features, as well as for existing functionalities.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through their resolution.
• Perform regression testing after bug fixes and enhancements.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on product specifications.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide detailed reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in test processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in testing.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Strong understanding of various testing methodologies including unit, integration, system, and UAT.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java and Python is a plus.
• Experience in performance and/or security testing is advantageous.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Relevant certification in software testing such as ISTQB is highly desirable.
