About the role

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Sales Assistant / Food Preparation professional to join our team at the Wivenhoe Milk and Food Bar in Wivenhoe, Tasmania. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

What you'll be doing

Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders and processing payments

Assisting with food preparation tasks such as making sandwiches, salads and other light meals

Ensuring the work area, displays and equipment are kept clean and well-maintained

Restocking shelves and fridges to maintain product availability

Following all food safety and hygiene procedures

Supporting the team by undertaking other duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the food and beverage industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and helpful service

Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of food safety practices

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including week days and weekends. These include shifts starting at 3:30AM.
