Are you a people-first leader with a passion for sales, team leadership, and delivering an exceptional customer experience? We’re looking for a driven and experienced Retail Sales Manager to step into a key leadership role with a respected, long-standing provider of custom home furnishings. With a proud 45-year legacy servicing customers in the Mornington Peninsula, Bayside and South Eastern suburbs, the business is entering an exciting new phase, under new ownership, with a focus on growth, innovation, and elevating its already strong service-led culture. This business is known for its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and detail. From in-home consultations to in-house manufacturing and professional installation, they deliver a full-service experience for both residential and commercial customers.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Leading and motivating a capable and passionate team;
Mentoring, coaching, and building strong team culture;
Creating an environment where staff feel supported, customers feel valued, and the business continues to thrive;
Taking ownership of day-to-day operations and driving efficiencies; and
Working closely with the ownership and leadership team to identify opportunities for business growth and helping shape the future direction of the brand.
This position is ideally suited to someone who is currently a Store Manager in a service-led business and is looking for more scope and responsibility. Alternatively, you might be managing a home décor or interiors-focused retail business and are ready to take on a broader commercial leadership challenge. What’s essential is your ability to lead people, drive performance, and maintain an unwavering focus on the customer. Experience with CRM systems, sales tracking tools, or digital marketing will be highly regarded, as will any background in window furnishings or home improvement—though product knowledge can be taught to the right person with the right leadership qualities.
