The Role

This Accountant/Senior Accountant role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure across Financial and Management Accounting, Governance, and Internal Processes. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a growth-focused role designed to suit your current experience while paving the way for development into an Assistant Manager position.

The role will see you work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, from operations teams and senior executives to external auditors and group legal teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Assisting with month-end close and providing timely reporting to senior management and the wider group.

Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.

Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Coordinating external financial audits and contributing to compliance activities, such as BAS, FBT, and insurance.

Monitoring and analysing project performance, offering insights that drive decision-making.

Contributing to process and quality improvements across the finance function.

Guiding and mentoring finance officers as needed.

A CA/CPA qualification (or near-completion) with fewer than 3 years of commercial experience or experience in public practice.

A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Flexibility and agility in your approach to problem-solving and collaboration.

Skills & Experience

Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.

Proficiency in managing audits, financial records, and fixed asset registers.

Analytical capabilities to monitor project performance and contribute valuable insights.

Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
