Respected Asia Pacific firm has a vacancy for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a market leader with offices in Marrickville. This is a perfect opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer with up to two years experience to continue to learn, grown and expand.

The Job…..
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Working as part of the Accounts Payable team you will be reviewing and approving AP invoices
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved
  • Monitor and cross check payments are accurate
  • Daily reconciliation of the accounts payable ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors
  • Maintain proper documentation for payment approvals and transactions
  • Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with company policies, tax regulations, and financial procedures
  • Assist in preparing accounts payable reports as required
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier accounts and resolve any outstanding issues
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks

You…..
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in the following:

  • Ideally you will have 12 months experience working in a busy, high volume Accounts Payable environment
  • Relevant degree or TAFE qualification in accounting
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Intermediate Excel skills along with keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills with a bubbly and energetic approach to work
