Position Overview:

The Software Development Engineer (SDE) is a full-time role. This key individual contributor role involves introducing innovative technical solutions and addressing significant challenges on and off the Salesforce platform. In this role, you are expected to adhere to best development practices, effectively prioritize assigned tasks, and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You will work across multiple facets of the product release cycle while managing several responsibilities concurrently, maintaining a high level of intensity throughout your work.

The salary for this role is $75,000 AUD per annum.

Responsibilities:

Technical Standards and Excellence:

Collaborate with engineering technical leads and senior software engineers to promote and enforce technical standards and excellence.

Stay up-to-date with advancements in software development, including design patterns, cybersecurity trends, CI/CD methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Design and implement custom solutions using technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flows for Salesforce development.

Build scalable and reusable components for the Salesforce platform.

Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP/Bulk APIs, middleware, or other integration tools.

Team Collaboration and Support:

Assist the Scrum Master with sprint planning, effort estimation, and resource allocation for development tasks.

Participate in reviewing requirements/specifications and providing feedback on gaps and technical feasibility.

Provide training to Client Support Engineers (CSEs) on resolving client escalated issues, guiding them through problem identification, research, and evaluating potential solutions.

Support Quality Assurance (QA) by reviewing test plans and promptly addressing any issues or defects identified during testing.

Skills Required:

Positive work ethic, motivated and a quick learner.

Ability to work in a role with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of database design, architecture, relational databases, data modelling, and use of SOQL, SOSL, and SQL.

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience Required:

1 - 3+ years of experience in software development.

6+ months of experience in Salesforce development - SFDX, Lightning Components, Design System, LWC, Aura, APEX Classes, Triggers, Flows, Objects, etc.

Experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, WSDL and CSS.

Experience with environment management, release management, code versioning, deployment methodologies, and CI/CD tools.

Experience with Salesforce API and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk) is a plus.

Experience in an Agile SaaS environment is a plus.

Experience within the Wealth Management industry is a plus.

Qualification Required:

Salesforce certifications desired.

Experience in Salesforce development in ISV/OEM environments is desired.

Computer Science/IT degree is preferred.
