About Us

We are a well-established and growing software development team based in Melbourne, building a market-leading SaaS application that is widely deployed across Australia and New Zealand. As we continue to expand into the UK and Europe, we’re looking for a motivated Entry-Level Backend Developer to join our team, to help build out product capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining .NET Core (C#) backend services for our SaaS platform.
• Working with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for efficient data management.
• Building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs (HotChocolate, GraphQL.NET).
• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code with Entity Framework Core.
• Learning and implementing best practices in backend development, security, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborating with frontend developers and product teams to integrate backend functionality.
• Participating in code reviews, standups, and team discussions to continuously improve our product.
• Working with cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a curious and proactive developer who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

Must-Have Skills:

✅ Some experience with C# and .NET Core (academic projects, internships, or personal projects welcome).
✅ Basic understanding of SQL databases and how to query them efficiently.
✅ Familiarity with REST APIs and an interest in learning GraphQL APIs.
✅ Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
✅ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Nice-to-Have (but not required):

• Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper ORM.
• Some exposure to GraphQL APIs (queries, mutations, resolvers).
• Understanding of unit testing (NUnit, xUnit).
• Awareness of cloud computing (Azure, AWS).
• Interest in microservices and event-driven architectures.
