About the role

Foresite is seeking a dynamic Individual Support (Ageing) Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Moonah, Tasmania. As a full-time Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training to learners pursuing careers in the aged care sector. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of future care professionals.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and delivering face-to-face engaging training sessions covering topics such as personal care, infection control, and dementia care
• Assessing learners' practical and theoretical competencies to ensure they meet industry standards
• Providing personalised feedback and support to help learners achieve their learning goals
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners to ensure training remains relevant and up to date
• Participating in the continuous improvement of training materials and assessment tools
• Complying with all relevant regulatory and organisational policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant vocational qualification in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or a related field
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or higher
• Registered nurse or Registered Enrolled nurse
• Substantial experience in the aged care sector
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education
