Are you an experienced early learning professional who's ready to take their career to the next level, honing leadership skills and helping to build a successful business?

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Bondi Junction - Oxford Street West, you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation. You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team and establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre's local community.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

About Goodstart Bondi Junction - Oxford Street West:

Goodstart Bondi Junction -Oxford Street West is on the premises of Westfield so there is access to food places, coffee shops, gym, beauty salons, shopping and close proximity to the Bondi Junction train and bus station.

The centre has 3 classes - a Nursery, a Toddler room and a Pre-school room and it is licensed for 65 places per day.

Every room has at least 1 ECT as we believe in good quality care and education. The centre has a dedicated staff room and programming room.

The AD role would ideally suit an ECT with preschool experience willing to work 4-5 days on a set roster. The AD is entitled to 2 hours per week off the floor and will work closely and gain skills and experience from the Centre Director.

If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position, or similar, then we'd love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you.

You'll need:

  • A Diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Vulnerable People Check, or be willing to obtain one
  • Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
  • Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
  • Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
